it is the darkest night
or the longest day –
depending on where on the globe you stay…
long ago,
just me and You
sat by a fire too.
it is the darkest night
or the longest day –
depending on where on the globe you stay…
long ago,
just me and You
sat by a fire too.
please,
may i?
just for a moment –
have a moment?
there is only this moment.
now.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
thank you.
a cookie would be nice too……..
So, they tell me never to put all my eggs in one basket….
but what about cats?
What?….you see only one?
I see a trinity!
dressed in black and white
i go out into the night
singing songs of love.
i am not alone.
You are there too!
i sit
and watch a bird sitting in a bush,
in as much as a bird can sit.
i will watch with you, but i do not sit –
i perch,
or
stand
or
fly.
but all of us watch, and listen and learn,
whether we are finned, feathered or furred,
as the world goes by.
she arrived in a purr,
soft and homeless.
white as a cloud (well on a rainy day),
filled with fleas and topped with grease –
purhaps from a night-time nap in a hubcap…..
here is respite and love,
for her as well.
the crane took off –
awkwardly at first,
neck still curled in the scroll of standing,
wings beating hard against the invisible gravity of the earth
she gained air –
and then soared.
reminding me,
awkward is eventually graceful,
wings must go both up and down if i am to fly,
and the gravity of any situation can be overcome.
what do you call it
when you are so happy and so tired
all you can do is dream…
i am not ‘out like a light’ –
i am still shining…
i am exhaustiblelation!
