He was huge!
As big as a bear they said…
Clearly, they had never met a bear….
Unless you mean a teddy bear…
Well, with a very deep earth shattering bark
Yes, his bark was HUGE…
And in truth
He was big for a dog….
He was HUGE
Because he was so filled with love.
I have a cat that loves cars,
If you leave your window open when you come a calling,
She just might jump in and go for a ride!
More than one guest has called me from the market or the drug store
When a stowaway passenger climbed into their laps.
But it turns out,
It’s not just cars…
Today, we hauled wood together…
Work is so much easier when you have help,
Even if they are just along for the ride!
Sometimes when you feel blue,
There is nothing you can do,
But wade thru.
And remember, even when you feel blue,
There is a whole rainbow inside of You.
And I am here too.
Sometimes we get so caught up in beginnings and endings,
We forget that life is a circle.
The flower opened,
The hummingbird returns.
Bloom.
Return.
Return, return,
And again,
return.
I think we should have more listening classes,
And less obedience classes….

We all need someone who listens,
No matter what side of the leash you’re on.
I open my eyes,
To two eyes,
As dawn is breaking and pale light creeps into the room.
Why do we say dawn is breaking? Breaking what?
Nothing is broken…
Everything is whole….
Everything is holy.
I look into two eyes,
And there,
Reflected,
I see You.
In a field filled with downed trees
Stood a pure white horse.
Life
is metaphor,
Hope
is real.
The littlest dog has been having a very hard time eating since the storm…
But not tonight!
Bowls were empty, bellies full!
Even the puddles outside were small enough to play in.
Not al of us recover at the same speed.
She held the tiny bundle like any caring new mother,
Gentle and timidly…
This little furred orphan of the storm
Discovered in the cleanup,
Was getting a chance at survival.
Who knows who will save who?
