Out the window
A red bloom opens…
And You dash by to rescue me back to the magic of the moment.
Out the window
A tiny explosion of wings passes.
And You open and provide a safe place for my eyes to land.

Look up to those you love.
(Hint: be prepared to receive some looks yourself)
(Practice: look into a mirror)

I went to the springs today,
In need of baptism,
Again…
I was not alone….
You were there.
.
The crystal water,
Pristine .
What does that mean?
Pure?
Real.
The thing
About natural springs
Is that though they may be deep,
far deeper than you think…
as you peer into what you think is the abyss…
You realize your sense of perspective is all off…
You can see clearly, hundreds of meters down into the earth,
But it seems like only a few feet!
But perhaps more importantly,
Floating there,
I felt immense power lifting me to the surface
Over and over again.
As the fish swam peacefully around.

Watching,
Perched,
Both alert and relaxed….
Ready at a moment’s purr to pounce.
Be ready for whatever comes your way.

Once upon time my ancestors lived in trees,
Once upon a time my ancestors lived in dens,
But I came out of the trees,
And I came out of the dens,
And we saw each other
and i was curious,
and i was curious
and I was scared…
and I was scared
For you had big teeth –
And you had big sticks!
And I saw all your teeth…
And I saw you hold your big stick …
and we ran away from each other, again…
and went to sleep –
and while we slept, we dreamed
and in our dream, you were throwing the stick,
and in our dream, you were chasing the stick,
and in our dream I was picking up your stick,
and in our dream I was throwing your stick…
and in our dream we played like brothers,
and in our dream we played like sisters,
and in our dream we played like friends –
and we saw it was true…
so when I awoke, I came back to You…
and I put my stick on the ground and smiled with my teeth that had no points, bowing
and I put my chest on the ground so you could see my wagging tail…bowing
at the end of the world,
a dog chases sticks,
and brings them back,
every single time.
We Bow.
And the world is saved, again.
Namaste.
The dragonfly flew around the room,But the cat stayed in the laundry basket,Only chasing it with Her eyes.
I dropped a thing,It fell out of my hand and into someone else’s land.I bent down to pick it up,And found myself in another world.Pardon me, I am just a tourist here.
He was all that,And He knew it…He not only was in a class,He had it..In the training dance of left foot, right turn,He was sweeping me off my feet…Now, if only we could agree on what right and left mean!
Tired in my bones,My spirit is renewed.A holy trinity greets my arrival!I am Home.
