Lazy Eights

On the sofa

Eternity

Lazes.

.

A dog and a cat,

Curl into each other

They sleep

And dream.

Eternity is now.

Cuddle up.

Watching

The tv screen flickers

with stories of shame and pain,

Of aged politicians and realms long gone,

Of expectations and promises…

A king and his daughters

Speak in prose and verse

While two cats,

Formerly at odds,

Hissing and spitting

Find themselves together,

comforting the audience.

We can get all along,

If we put aside our sibling and territorial differences…

Let’s build a new future together….

I knead You

Kneading my belly,

The magic cat

Purred.

Reminding me

How much I need Him.

Home is where…

She watched me as I got my hair cut,

What did she think?

.

We all need to go to the groomers sometimes!

.

Carry me with You always,

And I will always be Home.

.

With You with me,

I will always be

Home.

Roll with it

The meadow was full of frolic,

Eight happy paws reached for the sky

As the little white dogs rolled in the aromas

Of life and death.

.

Sometimes you roll in it,

Remember to roll with it.

.

And then take a bath.

Snakes

The day was filled with snakes.

Metaphoric slithers of judgements,

Cognition comprised by old mythologies….

Remembered tales of my father as a child,

Finding a nest of newly hatched rattlers,

Mistaking them for worms,

He put them into his pocket to go fishing…

Luckily, others saw his mistake as he complained that the worms were biting him. Rushed to the hospital, he survived. Wiser.

Thoughts flicker back to the black racer who used to live in my studio, keeping it clear of poisonous ones. I miss our friendship.

A two headed snake in the news Spoke of our duality even as it had one body.

A happy garter in my yard, slid into the shade as I approached.

We are all children of the Divine…

No matter what name you use.

The stories we share can only heal us,

If we listen to them.

.

Be not a feared of snakes,

But be cautious with them,

they too serve great purposes in our world.

Gazing

You can gaze at your navel,

Or gaze at the sun

or the moon.

But wherever you gaze,

Look with Love.

May we all find what we’re looking for.

Baptism

On the first day of fall,

The spring run was full.

Filled with the baptism of birds.

Shimmers of silver splash

dance into the air.

Purest ancient water from the heart of the Mother bubbles forth

Filling the path with crystal clear Hope.

What you water with Love shall reap a continuous harvest of Hope.

Dreamy toes puppy

She loves socks!

Clean ones, dirty ones,

Plain ones and fancy…

Luckily she doesn’t love them on feet!

Just to cuddle in her sleep.

We all need understandings and sweet dreams.

Buzz

I saw a red bodied

bumblebee ,

Or wasp…

Or maybe a moth…

Humbled

I watched you dance,

The world was abuzz with the new,

And everything I see is You!
