Fly

Whatever direction you fly,

Fly towards Peace.

Spaniel

I met a dream dog today,

Well, somebody’s dream dog…

With a peach nose and fur the color of caramel and honey.

He was just as sweet.

A spaniel of cocker and field,

Possibly setter , but surely looking to set.

Is He yours?

He is waiting,

Safe

For You.

Tears

Tears & tears

One washes,

One rips.

.

The little dog yelps and barks joining

The tantrum of holy righteous anger and wounded inner child

Roiling in my belly.

No cuddling comforting

Therapy Dog is She –

But fierce in Her song.

We keen together.

.

A day started in sunshine

Can end in storms.

The sun will rise again,

But the world will still have turned.

.

Be thankful

Even in grief.

Shine

She was lit with a golden light,

Shining like the sun,

All orange and bright.

And all who saw Her,

Smiled.

Puppy?

The puppy in her arms

Was an old man,

How could you know?

Alert,

All ears

He listened

When cooed over with Love.

How can you tell elder from youth?

Both have clouds in their eyes…

But in age we bring them deep into us,

In youth we let them hide what is right before us.

.

See with your heart.

The focus will be clearer,

No matter your years.

Relief

No, you can not come in.

Not here.

The door shook

As I stood in front of it….

.

So I held it.

You know…

It.

Even though

I had been in the car for a long time…

And really had to go.

You know.

Go.

.

But I held it

And drove to a gas station.

.

But as I thought

About that bark and bluster…

And wondered

How many times have we said no you can’t come out

When they need to go,

You know…

To Go.

( we all need to learn to listen and respect each other)

(Not to mention, practice radical hospitality)

Curtains

I am fond of saying

The light of Love

(However you name the Divine)

shines thru many windows,

Our jobs are to open the drapes…

But oh,

We forget about the sheers!

Sometimes we just need someone on the other side

To help us find our way.

Plumes and Poms

A silky white plume

Waved like a banner

Followed by a fluffy white pompom

That Pounced and bounced

Through the field of green.

There are possibilities we can’t see,

Follow them!

Tilted

Somedays you feel tilted

It helps to have friends

To get back

Upright.
