Great hunter of vampires,
resting on the branch over the brook,
look
how the light makes rainbows of blue and green on the black brown water.
The shimmer shadows of light play on the undersides of the leaves
and I must go.
Wing and leaf – teach me to fly.
May I breathe righteous fire.
How can you doubt dragons are real?
I open my door.
you open your mouth.
mine goes dry.
Startled to see each other so close,
both of us
out of our elements.
embodied
and lost
what choice is there but respect?
You think you know what’s in the corners
and crevices,
hiding in the shadows
of your heart’s home.
Dust bunnies?
Soot kittens!
somedays
you
need
to
rock
harder.
Tao cat says:
ROCK ON!
(find the balance)
ROLL with IT!
I move a bookcase
and there you are
and I find a toy.
once treasured and carried
I find a toy once treasured and carried.
now you are gone,
and it is here
a reminder in the shadows
of love.
Can you not see past my mask?
I am more than a piece of tail,
and I have a tale to tell.
Will you listen?
Somedays you are just throw in,
Sink or swim.
I think I like this pond.
we can swim together!
