If they call you ostentatious
remember, You are not an ostentation –
you are YourSelf
Be proud of who you really are.
Allow your iridescence to reflect back the beauty of the world.
One school of fish,
Two schools of thought:
we all swim in the same ocean,
traveling forward or feeding in a knot.
A young crow
sits in the entangled branches
of the ancient tree.
Waiting
(not to commit to a murder)
to join a flock of fine feathered friends
and
fly
to
freedoms.
( we all need many ways to be free)
shimmer,
and catch me unaware –
I catch myself before I tear your web: the fabric of your life –
and yet,
When I move my foot –
I discover that I have stepped on a guy wire that holds your world together.
Shattered we both fall to the ground –
surprised to see the rainbow strands glimmering hope all around us.
We are loved and can still love in return.
Growth does not happen all at once –
sometimes
our legs
grow
first,
and
our hearts have to run to catch up.
Sometimes our hearts grow up and our eyes can’t believe what they see!
