perhaps it should say pause…
this is a cone of safety
not a cone of shame,
it is a cone of responsibility.
and even though i don’t like it,
it is a cone of love.
it is not however an ice cream cone.
that would be nice now too.
looking
without seeing,
i miss You.
seeking,
listening within,
i find You.
together in the silence,
We purr.
into my path
a flash of green
jumps
high, from someplace unseen.
tangible messengers should never be underestimated.

Sometimes it is only by our tales,
That we know which direction we are going…
And sometimes,
Not even then!
Out the window
I gaze at the tree tops,
Five stories up, I am as high as they!
Perched on a pillow
I see I am not alone…
What do i see?
I see You.
What do You see looking at me…
I see You too, came the reply.
It’s okay to be scared of what’s above,
But not everything above is scary.
May love rain down on you, today,
And every day.
Dear one,
You are too tall to hide in the grass,
Your spots are almost gone.
We gather together,
A wheel appears with spokes –
Turning and yet still.
A spiral swirls,
Up and down in sync with each collective breathe.
In the ascension, we rise.
But enough of wheels and spirals,
The golden sunflower in the center of the room
Glows with the reflected light of the setting sun.
A fly lands on petal and hand.

Outside the window
Fireflies light up the shadows made by the filling moon.
Hooded but not dumb, I speak to you of love and fear,
I scamper and climb.
Why do they call me a lab rat,
Do they not know
all life is an experiment from which we grow..
Pay attention
Watch me climb out of dark spaces,
And not confuse them with dark places –
Let me return again and again to my heart,
Watch me,
I will show you You.
