i stop and stare /
wisps of rainbows capture me /
i step thru a portal into this world.
for a moment the door and i are connected,
the light refracts in silver bright colours and moves with my movements.
all is one.
just a spider’s web?
someone’s last nights bed? or uneaten breakfast?
Arachnids are so much more than eek.
we all weave entrances we do not see for those that will be walking this way –
pay attention!
Why do we prefer some labels over others?
why do we need to find labels before we are open to love!
Who would you be if i was a pit mix instead of a border collie cross?
could you not love me the same?
the ground is frozen.
ice creates glass garments on the ferns
temporarily given them a temporary air of permanence
and yet
the drum beat of spring sounds thru the woods.
breakfast!
i do not really know your culture
so i can not tell if you are playing or fighting…
but this i know,
You have wings.
and Wings are meant for flying.
why would you keep someone from flying?
and if you have wings – spread them!
as a child
i used to love to see the seals
in the harbor.
they filled me with joy.
now
i find joy in the memories of You!
and funny thing is –
it brings joy right into my present moment!
pondering,
with wandering mind,
contemplative practices
with elaborate histories,
while beside me
the black cat
purrs.
i gaze in the same direction,
and for a moment,
this.
THIS.
i sit in meditation
and the cat sits.
i ponder what makes bravery.
Early, i heard a little bird.
I am NOT so little,
I am not really small!
i am just at the top of a tree that is tall.
So what you think is small and insignificant is only a matter of distance and perspective.
after all You were tall enough to hear My song –
perhaps that is all that matters?
Give your heart freely and gently.
and receive with gentleness the hearts of others –
and thus we all bless the world.
The tree was filled with birds,
fluttering down to the ground,
dashing back to the safety of the branches –
occasionally soaring into the blue,
and returning to the camouflage of spanish moss and oak.
