as i drive down the highway
traffic comes to a stop
before me
some guests from the north
were crossing the road –
perhaps their wings were tired from their long flight..
or perhaps we all just needed to slow down……
as i drive down the highway
traffic comes to a stop
before me
some guests from the north
were crossing the road –
perhaps their wings were tired from their long flight..
or perhaps we all just needed to slow down……
driving down the road
we realize
we are not alone,
a visitor has joined us for the ride…
perhaps no longer content to be a housefly….
Fly!
Be Free!
( a good lesson for you and me)
Perhaps all we are
Arefootprints in the sand,
And even those will be washed away by the waves,
Yea, Even our tears will disappear.
All that matters is that You were here.
In this moment of soft sand, sweet surf and blue sky.
This moment of Love.
Three swift birds
Soared into our sight
So very fast,
Or was it just that we were moving so slow.
And yet, in their flight they were more at peace, than we were in our stillness .
this odd little deer of a dear dog,
no bigger than bed pillow,
calmly watched me
with gentle insistent curiosity.
teaching me, yet again,
the antidote to fear is inquiry.
the surrender to the moment provides the next place to place your paw…
or foot,
or path.
sit up straight
in a relaxed state
gently focus
on the ground before you
let your body be breathed
.
gently
purr.
there She was
the fattest dog i have every seen.
people in the waiting room looked askance,
as the toenails tapped out illegible Morris code as She waddled in.
our eyes met,
as the person on the other end of the leash said, to no one in particular,
“she’s a boxer mix.”
Her little Pitbull face wrinkled up at the lie…
and then she play bowed!
Right to me!
What a Good Girl!
Why must we deny who we really are?
Why must we lie about who we love?
We are all big fat bundles of divinity!
