Celebrate it.
We long for each other,
Those past, those present and even those we have yet to know.
For we are all stardust,
We are shadow and light….
We sing and we purr,
We bark and shout….
And we love.
Celebrate it.
We long for each other,
Those past, those present and even those we have yet to know.
For we are all stardust,
We are shadow and light….
We sing and we purr,
We bark and shout….
And we love.

The veil between the worlds is thin,
And I don’t know what state I’m in…
But it is holy.
Rembering the ancestors, I ponder the responsibilities of being an ancestor…
For that is the goal of evolution is it not?
To be an ancestor, to shepherd in, to be a midwife to the coming future
Or at least for the next seven generations.
.
I watch the feral kittens stop and look at the setting sun,
Or at least they are looking West
I stop and watch them…
And look westward too.

I was nine and all I wanted in the whole wide world was a puppy.
Specifically a little black ball fur who jumped into my arms
Every time I saw him…
And one day, when he jumped, my mom said yes!
I named him:
Captain Timothy Carver….
After an ancestor who sailed the seven seas….
And that little dog helped me navigate the winds of childhood.
And still to this day,
He reminds me I can weather any storm… because we did.
And yet,
there is always room.
The Tao of pets –
Ever full, ever spacious.
Love is like that.

Sometimes it is impossible to hide who you really are….
Who said anything about hiding?
The ferns swayed as the cat, all but invisible, hunted that which we could not see.
Feet so light…
Jumped into my heart tonight…
Singing a siren song.
I am trying to listen…..

Two crows alight on a street lamp
So still, even with wings spread,
If it wasn’t for their laughter, i might think they were cast iron.
.
Sometimes the signs to forge ahead so obvious,
How can we miss them.
