warmth

garter snake

the cat brought a friend to breakfast,

or perhaps for breakfast…

so i sat down to join them…

the cat, perhaps sensing my peacekeeping nature, fled.

so i sat with the snake instead

who raised a scaled head and eyed me with concern….

i don’t eat snakes, i said assuringly.

.

the cement on the patio

was warm.

and thus we stayed together…

.

and peace reigned.

Air travel

At the airport,

Watching

Travelers…

Some with two legs,

Some with four…

Hurry up.

and wait.

Soon you will soar.

paths/tracks

paths tracks

paths crossed,

even those that seemed at first to go around the edges.

(what made that dotted line? i have no clue, but i shall not tear across it)

we lay our tracks with every step

we mark our world

With every step,

we create our path.

Air

The sky was full of feathers in flight.

The writing was clear.

Together we soar.

Wake up

This morning,

By the pump house,

A beautiful box turtle came out of hibernation….

It is time to do the same.

WAKE UP.

bugged

camellia and bug

Lessons from a camellia:

let whatever bugs you,

pollinate your blooms.

Loud

How can one so small suddenly make so much noise???

You mean you have been yelling at me for a long time?

I’m sooo sorry,

I wasn’t listening.

I hear You now!

Broken

A cardinal appeared on a broken fence,

On a day full of possibilities,

And of pain.

In every moment, choices of listening and healing.

.

A cardinal appeared on the broken fence…

Reminding the world of the need to mend broken fences.

Sometimes life is so fraught the Divine must be overt in Her metaphors.

We have much mending to do.

We have to tools, even if we do not know how to use them,

May we have the will.

Love leap

With muddy paws she leapt into his open arms.

He caught her easily and gently, as she snuggled into his neck,

His shirt covered with swampy roses.

.

Oh Lenten Valentine,

May we love ourselves and our neighbors as Your emissaries teach us daily.

.

May i, for these 40 days, which is forever, remember All is dust,

Wether fey or cosmic,

Ashes, ashes, ashes.

And may i also remember that we are Phoenix, Rising in LOVE.

I see You

The calico cat sat

On the other side of the door…

She was big (for a cat),

She was fluffy,

She was wild,

In that feral feline way…

The white dog sat

On the other side on the door…

She was small (for a dog),

She was fluffy,

She was wild too,

In that untamed way of youth…

And they saw each other.

And sat.

Together.
