The sun is shining somewhere.
Look up.
Naps are as essential –
As meditations…
As prayer…
Trust your teachers,
Nap.
Dream.
You can not awaken without taking care of your sleep.
Cleaning up
I find another nest…
No eggs in this one,
But it is still as empty as yesterday’s.
Somedays it is hard to see You,
But then I remember,
You are everywhere…
In the smallest creatures
In empty nests
In all hearts.
The top shelf was filled with tiny empty shells.
All that remained in the flower pot was a ragged nest and a few feathers.
Bloom.
Fly.
Be Free.
As I entered the office,
Directly in front of me was a
window.
Ten feet from the window was a wall.
In front of the wall was a chain link fence.
A cat gracefully walked on the top of the chain link
Then
In a single motion
Leapt to the top of the wall
And continued walking out of sight.
A young man sat at a desk busily working,
Unaware of the turning of the Earth.
She bounces from window pane to window pane
Hair bow bopping
Toes tapping
In
Anticipation.

Size and smarts have no correlation.

Ignorance is not bliss
And dogs can not be willfully ignorant.
That is a human trait.

Be more like a dog.
If everything is a shard of the image of god…
Trust the Divine mirrors that surround us.
I passed down a road
I had not been on in quite a while.
The cattle were gone,
The fields lay fallow
Red signs posted zoning changes
And billboards promised affordable homes.
While the egrets dined in luxury.
Don’t deny yourself You!
I sit at a picnic table
Grounded
While above me an eagle soars
Taking my Spirit
Soaring.
