The cascades of barks i expected failed to appear.
A single sound….canine and round.
The horse shook their head

How can anyone pay attention to anything but You
When the wings of angels beat over my head?
The littlest dog stops to smell….
Keekeee keeeeeee
Screeches careen
Across a sky of dappled blue….
My heart reaches for You.
The cat and I curled up on the couch,
Sofa healing.
Home
In bed
Sick.
Don’t fight.
Cuddle.
Heal.
He peered over the fence
(A fence He could easily jump at anytime)
He peered over the fence
With wonder and surprise
In His eyes.
Peer over your fences,
Be amazed at the marvels…
My heart skipped a beat
I saw the red
Only red
And the goose
Just standing beside the road…

Just like we see snakes in coiled ropes and fallen vines…
we occasionally see tragedy where there is none.

Flying low across the field

I felt His gaze before I saw it
A glance over my shoulder revealed
Golden orbs
glistening topaz
Wide deep pupils burrowed into my heart…
