A snake in the morning dew?
i see the swish
but then up pops YOU!
soft grass.
warm sun.
no
egrets?
cow egrets!!!
Together we can graze the day.
cow pie diem!
Ogden Nash’s poem still fills me with nostalgia,
but
it no longer gives me practical advice.

in a dream
You walked into my heart.
You called –
I am trying to answer.
all day i painted enzo
circles
of emptiness
filled with possibilities and potentials.
but none were as real
as the ones
that surrounds us.
High in a tree,
on a low bough
the emptiness awaits fullness.
What do you feather your nest with?
Where do you lay your eggs?
are you in the lap of luxury?
if
all you find there is love
then you are.
to tear a tissue
for a tear
to sooth a fear
is a small grace.
it brings light to a dark place,
just as the small bird
in your heart
longs to be free –
so does your kindness free me.
don’t just dream about it –
plant yourself
and grow!
a small red bird on the roof
reminds me that even as i stand still,
the earth rotates
the sun rotates
and things change.
even as i stand in the stillness that never changes.
tiny birds in flight
dot the sky- it’s almost night…
don’t be silly, I’m a Bat!
well, what do you know about that!
be not afraid of another’s flight –
we all have wings to do what’s right.
we are all needed here and now –
so i’m a bat, don’t have a cow!
