when the world seems so big,
and there are so many things
that go clank and that ping…
i think i will just sit in the corner with You.
when the world seems so big,
and there are so many things
that go clank and that ping…
i think i will just sit in the corner with You.
Chasing dreams of flying,
i run through a field of butterflies and flowers.
Then the petals fall off –
who knew –
She tells me they are seeds,
but all i feel is the tangles as the comb catches them in it’s teeth.
so here is some food for thought –

wanting,
longing,
and asking,
are not the same.
but unless you know the language –
they can sound a lot alike.
listen deeply.
be generous.
give thanks.
somewhere
sometime
someone looked up to You.
look up to everyone You meet.
even if they are looking down on you.
it doesn’t matter your size –
or
the way you wear your hair,
we can live together
all that matters is that we share!
Trust.
Love.
Friendship happens.
i have been feeling under the weather of late.
having lost the flexibility to feel like the weather
which is so changeable.
exhausted i make my way to the potting shed this morning –
oh Glory!
it is filled with rebellious trumpets that have sneaked in,
heralding joy and possibility,
and then a butterfly led me home.
the calico cat dashed past me
up the tree
as fast as could be.
then She stopped.
and dropped
herself over a limb –
as if she had always been there.
so i watch this and wonder – about me…and about you:
Can you dash, then stop so completely?
Have You always been there?
Are you still dashing even though you look like you have stopped –
do you dash only to get to a point of rest?
perhaps you have other questions of rest and dashing?
dash me a comment – perhaps we can rest in several answers.
