The bed was too big

And the pup was sooo small

And the other dogs were no where at all!

A small howl was howled

And a squeak of a bark,

When from down the hall

Another barked barked

And several humans all cautioned shush,

No speaking,

Be quiet

And hush.

But sometimes when we’re scared

we have to call out

To know we’re not alone

In a big bed in the dark.
