Shadows and change

look down

A small blue flower at my feet

Is filled with the shadow

of a small orange fritillary.

No matter our size

We all have shadows

the grace of a bright sun

Can be a spot soothing shade

Where we can contemplate

And be reminded

That all growth requires change.
