We sat in the quilt shop

Sewing comfort

Out of pieces of our lives.

Thunder clapping

Punctuating our stories as we stitched.

.

She slept curled in the corner

Surrounded by calico bliss…

Outside the storm raged,

But inside,

All was Peace.
