the ball was in a box.

the box was on top of a dog crate.

the dog jumped up and down beside the crate –

longing for the ball that was just out of reach.

then

She JUMPED and bumped the crate.

The ball fell out of the box

but onto the top of the crate…

Yet, she was not thwarted.

She sat, head tilted, and pondered for a moment,

went inside the crate,

stood on her hind legs

and with her paw reaching thru the crate..

she popped the ball up into the air –

ran out and caught it in the second bounce.
