Doors

Open crate,

Open door,

Open gate.

Open heart.

We are conditioned to the story that an open door is a positive metaphor…

But my heart is breaking….

Wide open.

And yet the similarity between

broken hearts and wings

has not failed to elude me.

I fly to You.
