Ladybug

i look down at my lawn of weeds,

not yet mowed,

quickly Waking Up from the North Florida winter.

The diversity amazes!

Circles and stars, ovoids and dashes…

Dandelion, plantain, random grasses…

mint creeps everywhere,

Crinkled, investing every footfall with brightness and there

On a dollar weed,

Like on a lily pad in a pond of green,

Sits

YOU!

.

Oh, how rich we are.
