Him

A slim black cat came into my life, suddenly.

Thus his name – Presto.

He did not purr.

For three years.

But then he did.

.

Presto pees like a panther,

Standing,

Tail straight up,

A gush of urine saturating

The tree, or bush…

(or sofa or bookcase in his misspent youth.)

He is HERE.

.

Prowling.

Purring.

.

He has my whole heart…

.

Perhaps because he has given himself so completely to the wild world.
