The bottle brush in bloom beckons…

yes, fireworks are still making the occasional rattle and spark –

but nothing compares to the red explosions at the end of each branch.

Hummingbirds and bees dash in for sips,

Little lizards eat littler bugs while lazing on the bark,

and there amid the joy is Love.
