but they are being worn by someone else…

 even though you almost fill them,

i am not certain that you understand

that under standing can not come from actually being in my shoes –

can a grasshopper, even a really big one, understand metaphor?

how can any of us fill other’s shoes,

or walk a mile in them?

all i can do is listen to Your stories –

even if i do not always understand the words….

especially  in those moments where there are no words….
