pause for peace

tiger against the glass window

against the window

the tiger pressed her back

while i looked down from above.

the glass was cool from the air conditioning inside.

Her upturned paws evaporating her heat.

we both took respite from the sun in the shade.

what was on her mind i can not say,

nor even what was in her heart,

nor can she mine.

still,

we share the shadow and rest.

remember,

everyday

to pause for Peace.
