on the fence

a twig had grown thru a crack

on the twig

a chrysalis hung empty.

There, still wet,

newly emerged,

gooey and bright,

You dryed your wings

in the morning sunlight.

off to a bloom of grass –

you feed,

and continue to fan the future

into the now.
