Every cliche was true once,

(ask any kitten)

We wind and unwind; we chase and pounce and play.

And so it is with our daily practices –

Once fresh and filled with joy, they become the old toy

or worse the sanctified cliche.

Be mindful of sacred play-

for it is dangerous if unattended with love.

 but equally essential for our evolution.
