The island I called home has no snakes, so no one need ever drive them away Here there are snakes in the grass and in the trees, and no one need chase them out

Is the sky falling…

The snake in the grass is dead. Did she fall from the sky? or come up from hibernating too soon? A lost dinner or lost time? Either way, we must do all we can to honor the living and eat.
