Luck

A calico cat crossed my path today.

Apparently I must make my own luck.

.

Born storytellers, We create our own superstitions,

The real question is how useful they are to raising us up, or tearing us down.

.

Life is a patchwork of experience,

Stitched together with what we value and love.

beauty

crane in water green

Beauty.

ever present,

unseen as we look for salvation elsewhere.

Beauty

that makes me want to fall on my knees before it…

Pure.

True,

Good.

with Her feet in the silt of the spring run,

the sun glistening of Her back –

calm, serene, seen.

.

the Holy is far more present than we are comfortable with,

for it is everywhere –

what are we to do!

Sacred Circus

When I was a little,

I used to pray that I could run away to the circus,

Now I am big,

I have been given one of my own!

green

green puppy

Green means new –

oh, colour of the heart,

here we start

again with beginner’s mind…

.

empty and full

of love and You.

making gentle mistakes –

oh never ending learning curve.

thank heavens you bend toward justice!

no matter how long i have been training ….

i, like a newly adopted dog, am always green.

.

together we create the future,

but in this moment

the only reinforcement is Love.

Bunk beds

So today,

The oldest littlest dog,

Climbed into the youngest littlest dog’s crate,

And fell asleep.

So the youngest simply climbed on top,

And did the same.

When someone steals your bed,

Make another….

Then lie in it.

Rain

Sometimes all you need to get out of the rain is for someone to open the door.

Laurels

There is no amount of thank Yous,

No amount of laurels that might be rested on,

That can ever touch the gratitude

Of being truly loved, without words.

And to share that Love,

Is nothing but Grace.

I am so very very grateful.

Climbing

Against the glass,

The snake rose up…

Belly shimmering, shimmying…

Like a segmented pearl teaching possibilities.

Keep exploring,

keep climbing

Keep seeking…

family is not about the blood in your veins,

it’s about the love in our hearts.

Music

The Ibis Quartet,

Apparently on a break,

Strutted around the green room that is the lawn,

Eating worms,

While a soloist sang high notes in a tree.

I saw none of this, it was reported to me.

I was inside,

Missing the concert entirely.

But the story, ah the story!

How often do you get a famous quartet lounging on your lawn

When you go to get the mail?
