twice a year the world sits in balance –
but each day we are balancing –
bloom, bud and branch
are all contained in the seed.
They say the four noble treasures are gentlemen –
pah!
the seasons belong to us all!

for the earth is round and all things are possible.
An easel by an easy chair.
The cat that was there, has left.
Yet she remains for a while on the easel.
May all beings be at ease.
the bridge is out,
the slew is flooded –
but still the way is the Way –
sometimes it takes a leap of faith
to take the first step.
you ask if i get tired of black and white –
of course not,
i live in colour!
(just for the record, canines do not see in black and white –
they see in blue and gold
like the sun and the sky,
but can not see the reds of the sunset, nor the greens of the grass –
but did you know that humans can not see pink?…makes you think…)
the sky may be grey,
but the cardinal in the cherry tree
can only sing
and the blossoms around her bloom.
paw in hand,
i hold the universe in an instant –
Heart to Heart.
I took a walk with a dragonfly
Down the river of my soul –
Or was it simply a stroll by a creek?
The dappled light illuminates both.
Although it is common to say:
a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush —
i am not so sure.
For it is also common to say:
you will kill two birds with one stone.
How much better would it be if you were to:
Free two birds
with one hand.
The fabric of life only seams like it’s in pieces.
we are all part of the patchwork
in the quilt –
and this is just a stitch in time!
