in the gas station,
in the eaves,
a sparrow sang on the sprinkler system,
escaping the rain outside.
the song was so pretty,
it lit a small fire in my heart,
illusions and reflections.
we may look different
but we are simply looking at each other in the mirrors of life.
a dock in the grass?
i can not swim nor fly.
i know there is something up there…
even if i can’t see it.
even if it is simply another place to look up from,
perhaps it is the looking up that provides the safety –
not the anchors or the docks.
i hear you and
i keep looking up,
but where are You?
oh, opps –
You were beside me all along.
not all bushes burn – some sing.
listen.
on the tile
on the floor
the cricket was singing.
we were too busy having a conversation to listen.
to him or each other.
the door was open.
a dragonfly came in.
i thought of You.
although i can not see,
i offer great insight.
being in the dark
is a matter of perspective.
