the little old man pup
can barely see,
and so he take refuge under a friend.
Step for step they walk thru grass,
neither confident of the situation,
they follow the path back home.
we are likewise blind,
though we think we can see,
we take refuge in our friends,
even though we may never know the shelter we give each other –
let us trust
and follow our own paths together.
clouds condense in the sky
but all is well, you can fly!
the clouds disperse,
the sun comes out-
and still You fly.
thoughts are like things,
they have both thorns and wings.
but You just sit there on my paper,
and my brush can not reach
what i preach.
yet, still i practice.
hoping that some moment, (this one perhaps?)
the tears will mix with the ink of life –
and magic is once again reborn.
Silly human! so maudlin and dramatic –
as if you were in charge of birth and death and magic!
step outside – the roses have thorns and still bloom.
sounds of disunity fill the air,
the ‘us and them’
are everywhere.
no ‘we of me’ is to be found,
we see our fears, and stand our ground.
too proud and scared to see the way.
How will we ever live together in this world,
if we can not see that we are already doing just that,
every day.
the ram in joy unbound,
danced and danced around
but caught his horn upon a tree
and it was separated – it from he.
a sacrifice is always a gift,
use it in the present.
weep and make a joyful noise,
and thus from a silent horn is born an awakening sound.
No matter now long it has been,
good friends remind you.
PLAY!
I missed the blood moon.
but the magic did not eclipse me.
Started awake by who knows what,
i see
an old small dog in a baby sling
worn by a worn out man in a worn out chair.
both snoring softly in the wee hours of this new perfect day.
Happy.
Joy.
say yes to the moment when it is present.
purr.
up before sunrise,
the stars are all out,
twinkling possibilities all thru the night.
