the bed was large,
the tag said so,
but clearly not large enough for both of us..
even though we would fit…
one size does not fit all.
sometimes it gets messy out here in the world,
and i want to seek a refuge –

but i look thru the window and i see YOU,
howling me Home.
inside or out,
whisper or shout –
LOVE is about.
all about.
ALL.
yes, sometimes life really looks like a hallmark card!
the kitten leaping,
the butterfly fluttering.
How idyllic – how cute!

i leap. i miss. i fall and kiss the ground.
(who always catches me, even if not always gently.)

Some may say you flutter about, never lighting on any thing for long —
but never forget you are flying!

people are so odd! – why would it be bad to air dirty laundry in public?
i love dirty laundry! it smells like You!
(we all make mis-steps and mistakes, and sometimes miss the mark –
don’t worry, it all comes out in the wash — baptize your world with forgiveness)
everywhere we went to today
we saw people running in fear –
fear of dogs,
of abuses,
of institutions,
of illness,
of death,
angry, they speaking their fears in terms of absolutes –
“they all bite”
“they should all be shot”
“they should be shot immediately”
“you can’t fix stupid”
“there is nothing anyone can do”
“there is no cure”
“You can’t change them”
“these places”
“those people”
That dog!
But we can change, we do it every day –
a frown turns upside down without us standing on our heads – even if only for a moment.
why would it be different about our fears?
Breathe, and watch us from a distance — and breath….chance a step closer…
are we so very dangerous?
well yes, we are, but only to Fear itself.
there was a little bird,
blue and grey,
greeting me at the dawn of the day.
here was a little bird,
gray and pale blue,
twittering away
reminding me of You.
He slide into sleep,
down the pillow into his dreams and mine.
This inky cat has captured my heart while showing me the wilderness of his.
together we slink around the edges of the stars,
exploring…..
