i brush Your fur,
and clip it close,
grooming You to visit those who are in hospital.
What! some say, you have to groom him every day?
what an honor, i think….
yet, you simple snooze as i brush, and clip, and give thanks.
(see God in each other)

(see God in each other)
even wings need rest,
stand still and contemplate –
even if you feel like life is a high wire act….
stand still and meditate
especially if your life is a high wire act!
i received three gifts today –
they were not wrapped – (unless you consider the purring)
simply presented, in what i can only assume was some sort of escalating order,
a bug,
a lizard,
a frog…
Had i received the bug with the honor that it was intended, could i have spared the others?
i think not, i only would have been spared the presentation.
such is the nature of gifts…their value is oft first in the eyes of the giver….
I understand the sentiment, however. i was one of community and kindness….
i wonder if She felt me a swine as she placed the pearls of Her prey before me…
i wonder how to be grateful in all things….
seven ferrets frolicked,
leaping in and out and around a bright ball.
the joy was simply infectious,
and now i am too contagious!
come, wanna play!
the fluffy butt came over to visit the poodle butt,
and both became wiggle butts –
while those that sit on their’s, sipped tea…
.
Let others rage against the storm,
friendship has the stronger winds and the safer harbors.
i look out the window to see two bundles of fur curled up tight.
the rain pour down, and promised to do so for days
yet there they slept,
under the eaves
quietly purring.
a lesson on weathering a storm – any storm.
this too will pass.
until it does…
purr.
