in the sunshine
a small dog lies curled in comfort;
in the shade
a small cat does the same…
.
i stand in the doorway watching them both; seeing advantages on each side,
and noticing that we are all still on the same ground,
only the shadow of the roof creating the illusion of separate spaces.
by the bottle bush tree,
with her flowers all in bloom
bright red fringes give truth to Her name.
Life flits about
in the light
of the setting sun.
.
our purposes are fleeting.
only Beauty and Love remain.
what?
Beauty fades?
nonsense…
you only have to see with your Heart to know the lies your eyes have been taught.
He turns his head
and tilts it…
just a bit…..
.
sometimes i see the same expression
on a small child…
and i know the possibilities are endless and there is hope.
.
it is that moment of Grace
where we engage our curiosity…
perhaps one of the most Divine gifts of all!
be Eden.
or Mother.
or simply your home….
Respect is in order… for whatever your beliefs – we all live here now,
and now we must do something to help
our Eden
Or Our Mother,
but most certainly
Home for us all –
be we finned or scaled,
furred or feathered –
whether we walk, or climb or swim or fly……
there in the center of the walkway,
a drop of golden sun.
and then, just as suddenly,
he vanished
behind a green earth bound cloud of azaleas.
so i am visiting with my dog Tomi today, and the physical therapist brings in a walker and says to the person in the wheelchair,
“so do you want to try to walk?”
and the person in the wheelchair says,
“no.”
and the physical therapist audibly sighs…
.
“I want to walk today.”
.
and did.
the luna moth
appeared
as if out of the ethers –
as did a little girl
hoping to be seen and heard.
She reached up,
and caught my eye.
How foolish we are to think that any being should be seen but not heard!
Listen to the beating of the wings –
Can you be sure they are not angels?
Love is in the air…..
what did you think it would look like?
Wild and compassionate
i feel You.
love always flows in more directions than we have compass for.
there is no use crying over spilt milk,
or water,
or ink.
but occasionally there is use in simply crying…
whether in happiness, sadness or grief
or You know, because onions…
and then drying your eyes.
and once again
becoming curious about it all.
