a great pumpkin

a large black nose

peers over the bright orange orb

as i start to scoop and carve new traditions out of the old.

.

two eyes gaze up adoringly ….

i return the gaze.

the sun is warm,

the sky is blue.

what more is needed to mark a holy day?
