i received three gifts today –

they were not wrapped – (unless you consider the purring)

simply presented, in what i can only assume was some sort of escalating order,

a bug,

a lizard,

a frog…

Had i received the bug with the honor that it was intended, could i have spared the others?

i think not,  i only would have been spared the presentation.

such is the nature of gifts…their value is oft first in the eyes of the giver….

I understand the sentiment, however.  i was one of community and kindness….

i wonder if She felt me a swine as she placed the pearls of Her prey before me…

i wonder how to be grateful in all things….
