today i saw a ghost

of a dog i used to know

many many years ago –

reminding me how far i have come-

and how far we all have to go.

always remember:

we are all learning-

 never forget:

to be kind

and

speak up for justice.

there is a pit bull hound mix in my heart –

who knows that bigotry anywhere,

is part of injustice everywhere.
