i fell in love (again) today.

It was only for a moment.

It will be forever.

Our eyes met.

My heart melted.

Are you a Landseer? I asked.

We were still waiting on the curb for the light to change.

(Love is like that…it stops time…it is all there is.)

NO, she’s a Border Collie Saint Bernard cross 

                 called the other end of the extended leash, striding back to us, crossly.

She’s lovely.  I said.

A smile bloomed on the face of the woman with the leash.

Shared love.

The light changed to green, and three astride 

we stepped off the curb together.

Together for a moment….

Just might be salvation. 

Love is like that.
