In places in the past where it was not possible to listen to pigs*,

pigs were inhabited by demons

or sinners,

or ghosts of the greedy.

*because they will not herd, or follow and are hard to keep fresh when dead…..

and we know these stories,

but we forget they are not about pigs,

they are about people.

So we shout to defend the pigs,

instead of loving them.

i defend pigs instead of listening to them.

i defend pigs instead of listening to the story.

which is about You.

not pigs.

or pearls.

or swine.

so now i am listening.

and loving.

and throwing my stories to the winds, but not my pearls before swine –

haven’t you heard? they are not interested in pearls, or herding.

but they do have a lot to say.
