Of Grass and Twigs

The waters recede, the grass is revealed, reveling in happiness and sticks.twigs in the grass

No heart stopping now, I know better –

they simply look like snakes,

can’t fool me twice, you old rope!

Unless, of course, you really are a snake!

I am grateful to snakes,

who remind me to be mindful!
